Mdina or Rabat?

Book inside Mdina when the setting is central to the occasion and everyone can manage the route. Walk into Rabat for a broader casual choice, lower-cost snacks and easier access to normal town streets. The main gate and Saqqajja bridge the two; the actual walk depends on the restaurant’s door, not the locality label.

Mdina restricts ordinary vehicle access. Plan to park outside the walls and expect stone paving. A restaurant may be step-free at the entrance but still have an inaccessible toilet or terrace. Ask specifically.
