Heritage Malta Museums and Sites: Tickets and Planning

Heritage Malta manages national museums, archaeological parks, forts and historic sites. Opening days, partial closures and ticket products can change, and a pass does not include every attraction. For current official information, see Heritage Malta Sites.

Choose sites by theme and geography

Pass coverage

The multisite pass covers a defined group and excludes experiences such as the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum and Valletta Underground.

Capacity

The Hypogeum and other timed experiences can require early booking.

Build a museum day without overload

1. Pick a theme such as prehistory, maritime history, fortifications or art.
2. Group sites in the same area.
3. Check the official opening hours, last admission and partial closures.
4. Compare individual tickets with the current Heritage Malta Multisite Pass or other combined options.
5. Reserve timed or limited-capacity sites when required.
6. Allow travel and food time between interiors.
7. Stop after two substantial sites unless the group genuinely wants more.

Questions before buying a pass

• Are my chosen sites included?
• Will they all be open on my dates?
• Does the pass require reservations?
• Is it valid long enough for my itinerary?
• Are concessions or family tickets better value?

Last admission is not closing time

Check both and allow enough time for the site. Partial closures can also change whether a major room or area is worth the visit.

• Arriving at closing time without accounting for last admission.
